As a service to its members, SHAKSPER makes selected papers for which the author would like comments available for a short time on the SHAKSPER server.

The following paper is currently available:

"Ovid's Metamorphoses in Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds", by JD Markel < tutscatluxor@yahoo.com>.

This essay primarily analyzes the literary influences from Ovid's Metamorphoses as they appear in Tarantino's recent film Inglourious Basterds. In addition, the essay addresses four plays by Shakespeare: Merchant of Venice, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Hamlet, and Othello.
