Decisively a footnote to this discussion, but is anybody on the list
aware of any literature on the relationship between Job and King Lear?

For those of you interested in Shakespearean fiction:
In my novel INTERRED WITH THEIR BONES I play with Shakespeare's
"signature" in Psalm 46 in what I hope is an entertaining way.
Without any surrounding evidence as to whether that "signature" is
deliberate or coincidental, it seems to me that fiction is a fine and
proper place for it -- and for the general possibility that Shakespeare
may have contributed to the King James Bible, as well.
