Well now, here's a _thoroly_ thinking person, a pragmatist, amongst us! [I must
remember that on this list, as opposed to all the other lists I'm on, I must
state clearly that I am NOT being ironic. So I say now: I really mean wot I've
just said. And I want to compliment Geralyn Horton.] My thanks to her for
reminding those of us who have known from observation of our own or other
children or from our own experience---the deep joy, curiosity, and sustained
memory derived from reading "mystery" words and works.

How could we have thought it otherwise?

Best,
Judy
