SHAKSPER 2008: Extant Copies of the Q1609 Sonnets
From: Hardy M. Cook (editor@SHAKSPER.NET) Date: 05/13/08
The Shakespeare Conference: SHK 19.0285 Tuesday, 13 May 2008 From: William Sutton <billiam_uk@yahoo.com> Date: Tuesday, 13 May 2008 02:07:39 -0700 (PDT) Subject: Extant Copies of the Q1609 Sonnets Hi All, There are 13 extant copies of Q1609 sonnets. My question is have all of them been collated for variants? Or do editors tend to rely on only one, or a few, and take authority for variants from Spevack, or Wells? Plus how many, if any, are online? Thanks for your consideration, William Sutton blog.iloveshakespeare.com _______________________________________________________________ S H A K S P E R: The Global Shakespeare Discussion List Hardy M.
