SHAKSPER 2008: Job Teaching Shakespeare PT Online
From: Hardy M. Cook (editor@SHAKSPER.NET) Date: 04/29/08
The Shakespeare Conference: SHK 19.0246 Tuesday, 29 April 2008 From: James Fitzmaurice <JIM.FITZMAURICE@NAU.EDU> Date: Tuesday, 29 Apr 2008 10:26:51 -0700 Subject: Job Teaching Shakespeare PT Online Northern Arizona University is looking for an ABD or PhD to teach a junior-level Shakespeare class on the web. I built the class some five years ago and have taught it on a regular basis. The new person could adapt my content and assessment structure as needed. The students are generally rural but well motivated and intelligent. The weak ones usually drop in the first week or simply do not elect to take the class. I have enjoyed teaching the course. A brief case study detailing my experiences with teaching Shakespeare on the web (both graduate and undergraduate) will appear before very long (I hope) from MLA in a volume edited by Ian Lancashire. Please reply to me off list.
