SHAKSPER 2008: G.K Hunter
From: Hardy M. Cook (editor@SHAKSPER.NET) Date: 04/15/08
The Shakespeare Conference: SHK 19.0225 Tuesday, 15 April 2008 From: Donald Bloom <dbloom@asms.net> Date: Monday, 14 Apr 2008 11:02:43 -0500 Subject: 19.0220 G.K Hunter Comment: RE: SHK 19.0220 G.K Hunter A very different viewpoint, but no less appreciative. I never met the man, but over years of teaching Shakespeare I have come across several of his interpretations of particular plays I liked so well that I saved them for my students because they were at once sensible, profound and readable. They're still on my list. Theories come and theories go, but understanding and a good prose style are always welcome. I wish I'd known him. don _______________________________________________________________ S H A K S P E R: The Global Shakespeare Discussion List Hardy M.
