The Shakespeare Conference: SHK 18.0797 Saturday, 1 December 2007 From: Paul E. Doniger <pdoniger@snet.net> Date: Friday, 30 Nov 2007 20:02:42 -0800 (PST) Subject: 18.0793 Dramatists of Limited Biography Comment: Re: SHK 18.0793 Dramatists of Limited Biography Will the new edition of Middleton include The Revenger's Tragedy? What is the latest wisdom on authorship of this play? When I performed it in the early '70s, it was still thought to be Tourneur with perhaps some help from Middleton (and maybe Marston?). In the '90s, I discovered that scholarship had settled on Middleton, but I believe there was little "hard" evidence to support a definitive decision one way or another. Paul E.
