Subject:	Dramatists of Limited Biography

Though we know some of the facts of Shakespeare's life, we obviously do
not know as much as we would like. How unique is he in this regard among
his contemporaries? The entry on John Webster in the DNB, for example,
while noting a number of "assumed" conclusions about him, nevertheless
fills up a lengthy essay. Which other dramatists of note might be
compared to Shakespeare in terms of our level of knowledge about them?

Thanks,
Chris Baker
