SHAKSPER 2005: Another Shakespeare Quiz
From: Hardy M. Cook (editor@shaksper.net) Date: 12/05/05
The Shakespeare Conference: SHK 16.2000 Monday, 5 December 2005 From: Larry Weiss <larry@lweiss.net> Date: Friday, 02 Dec 2005 13:48:46 -0500 Subject: 16.1989 Another Shakespeare Quiz Comment: Re: SHK 16.1989 Another Shakespeare Quiz >Ariel is the only non-Indo-European name on the list. His (its?) >name is -- I say this with trepidation -- Hebrew. This might be so, for all I know. But, if so, it appears to be accidental. Ariel is a classical air elemental spirit and I think his/her name is designed to convey that. A more interesting question is where did WS learn about air elementals. _______________________________________________________________ S H A K S P E R: The Global Shakespeare Discussion List Hardy M.
