"An investigation is underway." Interestingly, the production was not identified as Hamlet. As the New York times of Sept. 6 had it, BENI SUEF, Egypt, Sept 6 (Reuters) - A candle fell over and set fire to a crowded theatre in the south Egyptian town of Beni Suef on Monday night, killing 31 people and seriously burning 16 others, police and hospital sources said on Tuesday.
