Yes, I agree Mary. It was a stunning production, and so pared down -
set-wise - when compared to Ninagawa's past - markedly more sumptuous -
productions, like his Pericles at the National last year for example.
When compared to the RSC/Ninagawa King Lear, this time there seemed to
be more direction from the direction; in other words, the actors didn't
look as lost on stage...

"In the Bleak Midwinter/A Midwinter's Tale" (which goes by the latter
title in the US): a charming Christmas movie.
