Subject: Remake of The Manchurian Candidate

Scott Newstrom has drawn my attention to a brief moment when we see a
poster of Paul Robeson as Othello in the remake of The Manchurian
Candidate (in which Korea is replaced with Iraq). I can't think of any
political thrillers that make use of Shakespeare. Frederic Jameson has
an excellent analysis of the 1970s political thriller in his book, The
Geopolitical Aesthetic.
