From: Hardy M. Cook (editor@shaksper.net) Date: 12/08/04
The Shakespeare Conference: SHK 15.2066 Wednesday, 8 December 2004 From: Michael B. Luskin <Luskin@aol.com> Date: Tuesday, 7 Dec 2004 08:48:23 EST Subject: Greenblatt's Hamlet David Basch <entropy@ziplink.net> makes excellent points. However, at the end of the mousetrap, nobody but Hamlet and Horatio know that the king has been exposed, and the evidence they have at that point is not conclusive, not even circumstantial, though it is shrewd. And Hamlet does not ever expose Claudius; he has to persuade Horatio not to act the antique Roman, and to make certain the story is out after his death. By the way, who witnesses the last scene?
