Subject: A Couple of Anniversaries Today

TODAY: Shakespeare, Cervantes and World Book Day

On this day in 1616 both William Shakespeare and Miguel de Cervantes
died, prompting UNESCO to declare this "World Book and Copyright Day."
This is also the generally accepted day of Shakespeare's birth (1564),
and William Wordsworth died on April 23, 1850. (Taking a longer look,
the literary births and deaths during this week include Byron, Twain, C.
Bronte, Fielding, Defoe, Trollope, Laxness, Nabokov....)
