Classic Stage Company, currently staging artistic director Brian
Kulick's refraction of Bible stories, The Mysteries, presents a
conversation between Harold Bloom and Tony Kushner on the subject of
religion and theatre March 22.

The one-night evening, Theatre and Religion: The World's Oldest Couple,
is a benefit for CSC, but is held at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall.
In what's billed as a "rare pairing" between Pulitzer Prize and Tony
Award winning playwright and author Tony Kushner (Angels in America) and
acclaimed critic and scholar Harold Bloom, the two will meet to "discuss
the rich canon of dramatic works from the Greeks up to Kushner's own two
part drama, Angels in America."

The event will take place at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, 65th
Street and Broadway, 7 PM March 22.

Bloom penned the best-sellers, "The Western Canon: The Books and School
of Ages," nominated for a National Book Critics Circle Award, and
"Shakespeare: Invention of the Human."

VIP tickets to the event and reception can be reserved for $150 by
calling Classic Stage Company at (212) 677-4210, ext. 12. Single tickets
ranging from $25 student tickets (with valid ID) to $65 orchestra seats
can be purchased by visiting the Alice Tully Hall box office, or by
