Bibliography

That "Next year's Bibliography . . . will be the final printed volume"
of the World Shakespeare Bibliography is dreadful news; no electronic
version visible only only in small sections within the confines of a
computer monitor can possibly be as great an aid to study and research
as the printed volume, with its text and finding aids easily and quickly
accessible. If for economic reasons a choice has to be made between
printing the SQ or the Bibliography, the better decision, from the point
of view of students and researchers, would be to relegate the SQ to the
Internet, and to continue the printing of the Bibliography. I hope that
others feel the same, and that the matter can be reconsidered.
