From: Hardy M. Cook (editor@shaksper.net) Date: 12/29/03
The Shakespeare Conference: SHK 14.2437 Monday, 29 December 2003 From: Terence Hawkes <hawkest@compuserve.com> Date: Friday, 26 Dec 2003 07:17:15 -0500 Subject: Reversed Thoughts in Hamlet Comment: SHK 14.2428 Reversed Thoughts in Hamlet Michael B. Luskin's reading of Hamlet is admirably close, but I'm not sure that the 'reversal' he points to is as specific or as distinctive as he reckons. I'd say he's picking up an echo of the larger, backward-looking, recursive mode that's a central characteristic of the play's engagement with and exposition of its plot.
