Old Norway is Fortinbras' Uncle, not the king, true?

Not sure why Hamlet should be allowed an opinion about the remarriage of
his mother, it's a personal matter and a matter of state, Hamlet is 30
years old, living away from home.

How do we know that Hamlet was kept prisoner, letter writing privileges
allowed, on his return to Denmark?  He even says that all Denmark is a
prison.

Why would anyone think that R$G are carrying his correspondence, or are
going to do time with Hamlet?

Quite a bit has been written in cinema scholarship about 'profilmic'
space -- what takes place 'around' the frame; also prequel thoughts
(without a real prequel) as well as alternative histories: e.g. Coover's
steamy narrative about Rick and Ilsa actually making love when they meet
again in CASABLANCA. In a piece about HAMLET some time ago, I mentioned
alternate scripts about what transpired during the 'blank space' of
Hamlet's sojurn with the pirates. The writer 's hypothesis about Old
Norway inter alia is new to me. Has this been abstracted from a paper,
and if so is it -- and similar material -- available? I do not much care
for Updyke's prequel in Gertrude and Claudius, by the by.
