How about a term that really identifies what seems to be meant.  I'd
suggest 'First Folio variant.' That's not necessarily privileging the
Folio, but using it as a point of reference,  And I think it covers,
neutrally, most of the bases whether one believes 'pirate' editions,
earlier versions on stage, or whatever.
