Why? He clearly lived in Blackfriars - the little district just inside the city wall, in the south-western corner. Today you can identify the area easily - there is Blackfriars Bridge; Blackfriars Railway Station; Blackfriars Court; Blackfriars Passage; even a Blackfriars Underpass. The Postal code is EC4. There are other Blackfriars districts in other towns and cities (named after the dwellings of Dominican Friars), but Breton was born and lived in London, except for his period of study in Oxford. martin _______________________________________________________________ S H A K S P E R: The Global Shakespeare Discussion List Hardy M.
