From: Hardy M. Cook (editor@shaksper.net) Date: 01/16/03
The Shakespeare Conference: SHK 14.077 Thursday, 16 January 2003 From: British Graduate Shakespeare Conference <britgrad@yahoo.com> Date: Thursday, 16 Jan 2003 09:16:04 +0000 (GMT) Subject: 5th Annual British Graduate Shakespeare Conference The Shakespeare Institute will be hosting the 5th British Graduate Shakespeare Conference from 3rd to 5th July 2003. The conference is intended to give an opportunity for graduate students from all over the world to meet together to discuss their work. All graduate students are invited present a twenty-minute paper at the conference. We want this to be an event at which graduates will feel comfortable presenting their own work. The scope of the conference will be Shakespeare's work and the work of his contemporary dramatists. We hope papers will explore this field in the widest possible way, including studies of performance history, textual studies, critical debate, theoretical approaches and any other way in which graduates are exploring such work across the globe. Any student taking a postgraduate course of any kind is welcome to register. We try to keep costs as low as possible in order to enable as many graduate students as possible to attend. The conference registration fee will be 45.00 British Pounds for the three days. A single day registration is available for auditors only at 20.00 British Pounds each day. All registered delegates will be invited to attend the opening reception and lunch will be provided on each day. We will not be providing or arranging accommodation but information regarding cheap bed-and-breakfast places are available on the britgrad web site at www.geocities.com/britgrad/. The application deadline is 30 April 2003. Registration for the conference can be made by using the form on the website or by mail. Registrations will not be considered complete until full payment of the registration fee and optional RSC ticket price is received. Further information is available by checking the various areas of the britgrad web site. Please bring this conference to the attention of any graduate students who might be interested in attending. A poster advertising the conference is attached to this email. I would appreciate it if you would post this information for graduate students who may be interested in attending. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Thank you for your time, Shari Foster The Fourth Annual British Graduate Shakespeare Conference 2002 The Shakespeare Institute Mason Croft, Church Street Stratford-upon-Avon, WARKS CV37 6HP England _______________________________________________________________ S H A K S P E R: The Global Shakespeare Discussion List Hardy M.
