A grievous non sequitur, surely? Because I don't understand differential calculus, it's impossible for me to say whether or not Newton understood it. I just assume he did because my physicist brother tells me he and Leibniz invented it. It's a bit like that problem across the way there about glossing Shakespeare's words with OED definitions culled from Shakespeare's Works! I was a teenager once.
