Subject: Beginners Renaissance Latin

Does anybody know whether any book has been produced (for publication,
or for a course) that is designed to teach Renaissance Latin for
beginners with no 21st Century / Classical Latin? I have no Latin at
present, but would find it useful to be able to read Renaissance Latin
documents, so would be interested to learn.

Presumably the only sensible way to do this would be to study standard
21st Century Latin (based on Classical sources), but I just thought that
I would ask first whether anybody knew of a shortcut which could lead
directly to the Latin used in Renaissance documents.

Thomas Larque.
