I guess I missed it again. Somehow, *Othello* has always appeared to me to be notably lacking in sex and corruption compared to many of WS's works. Of course, wherever Iago walks those aspects enter in, along with the betrayal that's the subject of the play. But the rest of the cast has seemed rather straight-arrow. In fact, I've always assumed that Iago succeeds because the rest of the characters are in general so decent and honorable. But then, I missed the race riots, neo-Nazis and political spin, too.
