I had a pretty fair idea of WHAT, and after reading your comments have an even better idea if it. My questions were all about WHY, and no one has even attempted to address those. Well, I feared the answers may be lost to time, or simply not addressed in past scholarship. Perhaps they were bad questions. They don’t seem so to me, but then they are my questions, aren’t they? I’m hardly objective. Thanks to all who did expound on WHAT, especially Peter Groves, but to everyone else too. I appreciate it.
