Subject: NYT Review of the Public's OTHELLO

Hi everybody,

Today's New York Times has a well-written and, perhaps,
conversation-stimulating review of the new production of Othello in it.

To read things on the NYT website you must register, but it's free and
worthwhile.

Here's the URL:

My question: theatrically speaking, is it better to have a terrific
actor playing Iago who overpowers the actor playing Othello, or should
the two characters be evenly balanced at a lesser level? Which
combination serves the play better? Which serves the audience better?

        Best,
        Brad
