SHAKSPER 2001: "Helsinore"?
From: Hardy M. Cook (editor@ws.bowiestate.edu) Date: 08/24/01
The Shakespeare Conference: SHK 12.2048 Friday, 24 August 2001 From: Richard Nathan <richard-nathan@att.net> Date: Thursday, 23 Aug 2001 19:35:14 +0000 Subject: "Helsinore"? I saw a poster in New York City advertising a play called "Helsinore" - or maybe it was "Hellsinore." It appears to be a version of "HAMLET" as it would have been presented by the old E.C. Horror comics. The poster looked like a cover from an old issue of "Tales From The Crypt." I'd love to see this, but I'm only in New York for a few days. (I came here to see the production of my King Lear parody - "How Sharper Than A Serpent's Tooth..." which closes this weekend.) If there are any list members who know anything about "Helsinore" - I would very much like to learn more about it. _______________________________________________________________ S H A K S P E R: The Global Shakespeare Discussion List Hardy M.
