The Shakespeare Conference: SHK 11.2340 Friday, 15 December 2000 From: Mike Jensen <mjensen@mayfieldpub.com> Date: Thursday, 14 Dec 2000 11:42:30 -0800 Subject: Branagh Macbeth? Looking for the current disposition on Branagh's planned Macbeth project, I ran across a number of press releases that suggest the film is not on his front burner. Chief amongst them is the fact that he planned to film Macbeth in fall, but did not. He is acting in other projects instead, and plans to keep busy with them through next summer at least. In fact, there was no mention of Macbeth at all. I did find a couple of list related tid bits. This is from a site titled KENNETH BRANAGH Frequently Asked Questions, http://personal.nbnet.nb.ca/mosherm/ > Love's Labour's Lost was released on DVD in the UK on Sept 11 and includes 5 deleted scenes, the trailer, outtakes, featurette and a commentary. The North American release date is Dec 19, 2000... It looks like it might only be released on DVD. http://www.pathe.co.uk/LLL/ > He has taped a BBC Radio 3 production of Richard III, along with Celia Imrie, Nicholas Farrell, John Shrapnel, Michael Malony, Stella Gonet, John Woodvine, Bruce Alexander, Geraldine McEwan, Auriol Smith, and Jamie Glover. Richard III will be released as a CD and audio tape in the new year. > Henry V has now been released on DVD. It doesn't have any "extras" but it looks incredible. Mike Jensen
