Actually, the first time I thought of Wives in light of modern sitcoms
was when I saw an RSC production directed by Bill Alexander about 15
years ago. The production was in the style of the 50s. As I recall,
the letter scene was done in a beauty shop with Mistresses Ford and Page
under the hair dryers. The reviews sounded strange to me, but it worked
surprisingly well. Cute program too.

All the best,
Mike Jensen
