SHAKSPER 2000: A Lit. Crit. Textbook
From: Hardy M. Cook (editor@ws.bowiestate.edu) Date: 11/09/00
The Shakespeare Conference: SHK 11.2060 Thursday, 9 November 2000. From: Abdulla Al-Dabbagh <al-dabbagh@rocketmail.com> Date: Wednesday, 8 Nov 2000 21:44:55 -0800 (PST) Subject: A Lit. Crit. Textbook Hi, everyone, I know this is not strictly Shakespearean matter, but all those in the teaching profession will no doubt see the connection. Can anyone on the List recommend a good, up-to-date, textbook for a fourth-year course on literary criticism that covers the area fairly comprehensively, but also emphasizes the latest approaches? We, in the department here, have found out that (amazingly in this age of literary theory!) this is not such as easy task. We need a title to order by next week. Help anyone? All suggestions are welcome, on or off the list. Gratefully, Abdulla al-Dabbagh
