From: Hardy M. Cook (editor@ws.bowiestate.edu) Date: 09/27/00
The Shakespeare Conference: SHK 11.1828 Wednesday, 27 September 2000. From: Elizabeth Williamson <williame@dept.english.upenn.edu> Date: Wednesday, 27 Sep 2000 10:52:57 -0400 (EDT) Subject: Leontes It has just been brought to my attention that there is a necrophiliac named Leontes in the 3rd book of Plato's *Republic*. I had no idea. Can anyone a) tell me if there's an article on *The Winter's Tale* that discusses this connection, or b) point me to a good reference work about Shakespeare's names? Thank you!!! -Elizabeth Williamson, University of Pennsylvania
