SHAKSPER 2000: "SCOTS ON THE ROCKS"
From: Hardy M. Cook (editor@ws.bowiestate.edu) Date: 09/25/00
The Shakespeare Conference: SHK 11.1804 Monday, 25 September 2000. From: Richard Nathan <richard-nathan@att.net> Date: Saturday, 23 Sep 2000 13:11:18 +0000 Subject: Speaking Of Doubling Macbeth... "SCOTS ON THE ROCKS" Is In L. A. If Hardy will allow a plug, I'd like to mention that a production of my "MACBETH" parody - "SCOTS ON THE ROCKS" is opening in Los Angeles. I went to the final dress rehearsal last night. It's a darker vision than I'd intended when I wrote the thing, and the producer obviously had to work with a limited budget - but for the most part I think it works very well - and the cast is terrific - particularly MACBETH and LADY MACBETH. I'm very happy with it - but DON'T bring the kids. It's playing at the CHANDLER STUDIO in North Hollywood. For further information, please call (818) 908-4094. The script for "SCOTS ON THE ROCKS," as well as the scripts for my other Shakespeare parodies, can be found at www.shakespeare-parodies.com
