Subject:        Poison Through the Ear

I'm logging in perhaps too late on this thread, but wasn't there an
actual murder near to the time Hamlet was produced, in which someone was
murdered through poison in the ear?  Or was it simply a murder for a
man's estate and his wife?  I seem to recall something to that effect in
Shakespeare A-Zed, but can't remember the specifics.
