The Shakespeare Conference: SHK 11.0661 Monday, 3 April 2000. From: Ronald Benoit <RBenoit@IKON.com> Date: Friday, 31 Mar 2000 10:58:40 -0500 Subject: Looking for something to do tonight? How about Nunsense? I know this is a wee bit late notice but I just wanted to let you know about a show taking place at La Renaissance in East Windsor Connecticut. That's right, La Renaissance is doing dinner theatre again! This is their first show for their Grand Re-Opening as a Dinner Theatre. Dinner includes a choice of Chicken Florentine or Poached Salmon. Doors open at 6:30pm with Hors D'Oeuvres and a cash bar - dinner is at 7:30 and the show starts at 9pm. And the show is great! I saw the preview last night and this show should be pretty special. If you've never seen Nunsense you really are missing quite an experience. The premise of the show is this: 5 Nuns from Hoboken NJ have accidentally poisoned the 44 of their fellow Nun's with an unfortunate recipe of cold potato soup. They have no money to bury the Nun's so instead are storing them in a freezer until they can raise the money. The show is basically their attempt to raise cash for a proper burial for their Sisters. It is a riot. Tickets are $39.95 and tickets can be purchase by calling (860) 623-9861. By the way, their next show (on April 14th) is The Compleat Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)!
