I plan to be in Montreal and will, as is customary, be disguised as Mike
Jensen. The usual competition will operate, though the rules have been
slightly amended this year, following the disgraceful scenes in San
Francisco. The Jensen name-tag must be firmly grasped in the LEFT hand,
whilst the challenge 'PRAY YOU UNDO THIS BUTTON' must be uttered,
falsetto, at least THREE times, and before witnesses. There are Golden
Quills to be won.

Greetings, all...

I regretfully had to cancel my plans to attend the SAA convention in
Montreal this year.  I had hoped to go so that I might have a chance to
meet a few of you.

But...

Between 30 May and 12 June '00 I will be in London, primarily to do some
work at the British Library and at the Wellcome Institute, and to
indulge in some theatre.  I wondered if anyone else on the SHAKSPER
list-either visiting or based in the UK-would be interested in getting
together there some evening for a pint or two (or three, or...!) during
those two weeks.

Please write me off-list if you're interested (and especially if you
have good pub crawl suggestions!)
