From: Mike Jensen <MJENSEN@mayfieldpub.com> Date: Friday, 25 Feb 2000 08:49:20 -0800 Subject: Re: Titus Article & Books Comment: SHK 11.0406 Re: Titus Article & Books Michael Yawney asks, > By the way, which Stradford is the one with the library Jensen > describes? 1) Call me Mike, except in print where I am Michael P. 2) Stratford-upon-Avon. The Shakespeare Center Library is to the left of the Shakespeare birthplace, across Henley Street from the official gift shop - where they sell the Shakespeare in Performance Titus Andronicus. They have a small reading room, and archive reviews, production stills, videos, and prompt books for all RSC productions. The collection goes back, with increasing spottiness, for decades. Videos do not go back as far, obviously. The staff is, well, wonderful, until they catch you writing in your notebook when your note book is atop some of the materials - a bad habit of mine. You have to apply to use the library, but the limited pass is free. You can learn more about them at this URL. www.shakespeare.org.uk/library.htm And yes, if you do find that book please let us know. Cheers, Mike Jensen
