Given the Psalms' location in the Old Testament, you wouldn't expect
many references to Bacon.

Syd Kasten asks:

<<Did Kipling mention the Psalm xlvi thing?>>

No, there is no mention of the Psalm 46 thing in Kipling's "Proofs of
Holy Writ." In that story, we watch Shakespeare and Jonson work on
Isaiah 60:1-3 and 19-20.

This story, which I do not believe was included in any of Kipling's
collections, can be found in the December 1965 number of The Kipling
Journal.

Cheers,
Jay Johnson
