I think the most obvious place would be:

SHAKESPEARE IN SABLE, Errol Hill

Milla Riggio

There is a biography entitled 'Ira Aldridge: The Negro Tragedian' by
Herbert Marshall and Mildred Stock (London: Rockliff, 1958).

Shakespeare Institute Library.

>Where may I find out more about either this company or Aldridge?

A place to start would be "Ira Aldridge: The Negro Tragedian" Herbert
Marshall and Mildred Stock
Southern Illinois Press (c) 1958

Also, you might want to check out the play "The African Company Presents
Richard III" By Carlyle Brown. An interesting show we did at Alcorn a
few years back.

Actors by Errol Hill (U Massachussets Press, 1986) ISBN 0870235257.

Wilson & Goldfarb's "Living Theatre" has a nice article on Ira Aldridge,
as does the Cambridge Guide.
