Subject: African Grove and Ira Aldridge

I recently had an opportunity to hear the actor Charles Dutton speak on
a Black American Shakespeare company operating in the 1820s; their group
was known as the African Grove Company and its star, Ira Aldridge,
became famous in Europe for his Richard III and Othello. Where may I
find out more about either this company or Aldridge?
