SHAKSPER 2000: Branagh's Hamlet
From: Hardy M. Cook (editor@ws.bowiestate.edu) Date: 01/14/00
The Shakespeare Conference: SHK 11.0081 Friday, 14 January 2000. From: Tanya Gough <yorick@bardcentral.com> Date: Thursday, 13 Jan 2000 16:06:24 -0500 Subject: Branagh's Hamlet Good news! Branagh's Hamlet *will* be coming back into print this spring, and a widescreen edition is also expected. Basically, what happened was that Columbia Tristar lost the rights to Castle Rock Entertainment product, and Warner picked it up. Thanks to my very alert rep at Columbia, we were able to track it down and discovered the title had just been added to the Warner roster. I'll keep you posted when we have an exact date. Cheers, Tanya Gough Poor Yorick - CD & Video Emporium [Editor's Query: Will the Branagh *Hamlet* be available on DVD? In fact, what other Shakespeare titles are scheduled for DVD release? I have the Branagh Ado, the Luhrmann Rom., and Shakespeare in Love.]
