SHAKSPER 2000: Web Site
From: Hardy M. Cook (editor@ws.bowiestate.edu) Date: 01/10/00
The Shakespeare Conference: SHK 11.0049 Monday, 10 January 2000. From: John Savage <73123.3524@compuserve.com> Date: Sunday, 9 Jan 2000 13:33:27 -0500 Subject: Web Site Dear SHAKSPER-types: For some time now it has seemed to me there might well be something missing from all the different varieties of Shakespeare web sites on the internet. I was thinking of a site aimed more at the great unwashed mass of Bard fans, those who enjoy discussing the playwright's life and works but make no claim to the highest academic degrees or impressive scholarly backgrounds. In other words, a cyberplace where ordinary people can have a good time talking about Shakespeare. So I take the liberty of mentioning the web site titled "Savage Shakespeare," designed for just this purpose. (The address is www.savageshakespeare.com) Thanks for your consideration.
