Subject:        A Few Days Off

It's 10:05 a.m. on a cold Thursday in Maryland. I have only one more
paper to grade and only one outstanding roster from one of my faculty,
and then at 11:30 I can actually get away from my office until past New
Year's.

I have not begun to shop for the season, but in a short while another
challenging semester will have come to an end and I can just put out of
my mind the uncompleted tasks for a while.

I have decided to take a few days off to spend with my family and to do
a little of my own work, but I should be back online to wish everyone a
Happy New Year before the event itself. Keep sending your postings.
