Subject:        Book Announcement

If we might make book announcements, may I say that my novel "The
Players: a novel of the young Shakespeare" (published here by W.W.
Norton 1997) has just been published in German translation by Piper
Verlag under the name "Sonette der Liebe." It's about his life until the
age of 30, and the love triangle of the sonnets with the Italian
musician Emilia Bassano as my Dark Lady.
