Subject: A Word about Cardenio

Since Cardenio has been mentioned, I will note that I've seen an edition
of Thomas Middleton's play The Second Maiden's Tragedy (aka The Lady's
Tragedy and The Maiden's Tragedy) published as Shakespeare's Cardenio.
Such an attribution is foolishness of course. However, I have wondered
whether or not there might be some source material available for a play
entitled Cardenio. Is there any useful speculation on what this play
could have been about?
