The Shakespeare Conference: SHK 10.1887 Wednesday, 3 November 1999. From: Jack Heller <quomodo@edistoelectric.net> Date: Tuesday, 02 Nov 1999 21:00:08 -0500 Subject: A Word about Cardenio Since Cardenio has been mentioned, I will note that I've seen an edition of Thomas Middleton's play The Second Maiden's Tragedy (aka The Lady's Tragedy and The Maiden's Tragedy) published as Shakespeare's Cardenio. Such an attribution is foolishness of course. However, I have wondered whether or not there might be some source material available for a play entitled Cardenio. Is there any useful speculation on what this play could have been about? Jack Heller quomodo@edistoelectric.net
