From: Michele Marrapodi <marrapod@unipa.it> Date: Thursday, 17 Jun 1999 14:09:47 +0100 Subject: Shakespeare and Intertextuality Conference A reminder of the call for papers on the topic: Shakespeare and Intertextuality: The Transition of Cultures between Italy and England in the Early Modern Period International Conference University of Palermo Palermo, Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia, 25-27 November, 1999 Scholars with a research interest in the area of Shakespeare and Intertextuality are invited to participate in an international conference to be held at the University of Palermo in November, 1999. Speakers will include Ronnie Mulryne, Robert Miola, Keir Elam, and Alessandro Serpieri. Potential contributions may consider Shakespeare's use of specific source texts, the role of literary and cultural traditions, Italian and English intertexts, and the migration of cultures between Italy and England in the early modern period. Each paper should be approx. 20 minutes. A registration fee of 100,000 Italian Lira, covering the cost of conference material and a dinner on the final night, is requested.
