From: Hardy M. Cook (editor@ws.bowiestate.edu) Date: 02/01/99
The Shakespeare Conference: SHK 10.0166 Monday, 1 February 1999. From: M. W. McRae <mwmcrae@tntech.edu> Date: Sat, 30 Jan 1999 10:25:38 -0800 Subject: Dan Burton, Shakespearean Scholar See <http://www.house.gov/burton> While surfing for websites on Henry V, I came upon Representative Dan Burton's list of favorite poems, which includes Henry's "band of brothers" speech. Representative Burton tells us that "King Henry V is one of my best-loved heroes because he went up against insurmountable odds to conquer an army far superior in numbers to his own army of men. King Henry fought with honor and dignity, never giving up even when the odds were stacked against him." I feel better now. It's good to know that Representative Burton has been doing something productive with his time...
