Subject: Southern Shakespeare

Plea for help,

Can anyone direct me towards a few reputable sources for studies
comparing southern literature, especially Faulkner, to Shakespeare?
Similarly, I am searching for a comprehensive study of bastards in
Shakespeare's works, especially if the term or "father" appears in the
sonnets. Please feel free to reply off list.

Thanks,
Andy Drewry
