Subject:        "horizontal" Shakespeare

My directing teacher used to say that the challenge with Shakespeare was
to get the characters to sit down, and with Shaw, to get them to stand
up.  I have found him generally to be correct.  Perhaps others are now
discovering what insights can be gained in many scenes by trying
something other than the "stand and deliver" style.
