[Editor's Note: Since I became department chair in early September, I have not
had the opportunity to write up my notes from my summer vacation in
Harrisonburg with the SSE. However, I would like to say briefly that I think
that this year's company is the finest ensemble yet assembled by the SSE. I
thoroughly enjoyed all four productions, and I wholeheartedly recommend them.
