From: Hardy M. Cook (hmcook@boe00.minc.umd.edu) Date: 11/24/92
Shakespeare Electronic Conference, Vol. 3, No. 338. Tuesday, 24 November 1992. From: John Cox <COX@HOPE.CIT.HOPE.EDU> Date: Tuesday, 24 Nov 1992 12:53 EST Subject: 3.0335 English Renaissance Literature Course Outlines Comment: Re: SHK 3.0335 English Renaissance Literature Course Outlines A standard anthology for surveys of Renaissance literature used to be Rollins's and Baker's *The Renaissance in England*. I don't know if it's still in print. If later anthologies exist, they may be more responsive to marginal authors and literature. On the other hand, the deficiencies of an older anthology can be made up in part, at least, by having students read recent essays about the Renaissance and its literature. A number of anthologies of essays like that are available. John Cox
